As per my own accountability promise-- here's today's update (bumpdate)!:
-3.4 miles total running/walking
-3 rounds of simple strength circuit

I am BAD at the action selfies and post workout selfies in general, but these will do. I don't know if you can read the snippet from the What To Expect app, but A) it says day 250!!! What?! 250 days is a long time. A fellow preggo asked me today if my pregnancy had gone by fast and I said yes and no... looking back, it kinda feels like I've been pregnant forever. I mean, hello 250 days! But at the same time, where did the time go?! Cause it's already almost July and we've been looking forward to it since November, so yeah it's also flown by at the same time. But oops tangent... B) It's saying babies born to moms who exercised throughout pregnancy (or hopefully somewhat sporadically) tend to sleep better and longer than babies born to sedentary moms! Score! Please let Rhett be a good sleeper. All the fingers are crossed. All of them. My sleep has been the most erratic and disturbed cycle for at least 70% of this pregnancy. In the beginning, it just felt like anxiety keeping me awake. Like I'd fall asleep and wake up on my back and then I'd switch positions but lay there thinking is this bad? You're not supposed to sleep on your back... And no amount of logic could get me back to sleep. Welcome to motherhood? Anxiety beyond reason. Grrrrrreat.
But today was a win, regardless. I expected most of my waddling to be walking with a little running mixed in, but it was much more running with forced walk breaks. Cause the Braxton Hicks really like to strike in the walk breaks. So I'd run about a mile, do 15 tricep dips, 20 walking lunges, 12 incline push-ups, 10 stair squats, then start back over with the run. Only once did I have to detour and run over to the bathroom! Score. I was out there about an hour total, which was great just to be out of the morning fogginess that I've been spending on the couch most days. But I will say, maybe running is making baby boy settle in low, but my lower back and pelvic area are pretty darn sore the rest of the day and even the next few days after a workout like this. I've got an ice pack on my back right now, and the nugget has the hiccups for the 80th time this week, and I can't get enough. He's adorable already.
